Conferences and scientific workshops were organised in order to highlight the field of search-engines from various points of view. Scientific findings were exchanged and journalistic, political, and entrepreneurial standpoints were explained by the participants. The importance of search-engines for the functioning of the information-society and the dependencies, in which search-engine providers operate were pointed out.
